as of now there aren't any recordings of any of those, other than maybe bear. We didn't do a cadence sequence recording this year. Nothing exists of cletus since it was only written last year, I'll check my older cd's for bear, it might be on one of those. I'm pretty sure I don't have any other the other stands stuff that isn't already on the site.

Does anyone happen to know about how many people typically try out for the tennor line?

I am estimating about 5-6 tenors will be trying out this year. Although we accept anywhere from 4-5.

Note to all: Don't let numbers affect your decision. They can change at any time. You should still practice, work hard, and come to auditions. We want to see you on August 14th!

Does anyone happen to have a sound file of what Cletus K is suspose to sound like? I've learned the music but it would be nice to double check what it is actually suspose to sound like.

unfortunately, there are no recordings of Cletus K as of now. hopefully that will be something to take care of next season. but don't worry about what it sounded like last year! just follow the music and come in prepared to play the best you can!

Does anyone happen to have a sound file of what Cletus K is suspose to sound like? It's supposed to sound Friggin' awesome!!! I learned after my first year not to ask for a sound file of something I was learning. This concept took me a while to grasp because I always thought at least hearing it would help some, but I realized that as soon as you hear something you base your playing off of that, cutting out all room for uniqueness. Things may change this year, licks may be cut, or added, or spiced up a little, but it's all dependent on this year and how people click together and have fun. It's good to hear that you've learned the music, now just show up to auditions and get ready to have the time of your life. It's a new experience, every year.

Wiseman is definitely right on this one. It's not about what it sounds like, it's about how well you can play what's on the page. We made a few (minor) changes to Cletus last year to better fit the line and to help us blend better as a group. But whatever worked last season may not fit for this years line. I wouldn't be worrying too much about Cletus right now anyways. The audition music should be your main focus once the new packet is out. From what I've heard-it's guaranteed to be friggin awesome but friggin hard! So... "Get Your $h!t Done" ;D
